Our Melbourne golf course is one of the top public golf facilities in Arkansas. Our scenic course is a 7,011 yard championship layout from the back tees.  It consists of Zoysia tees and fairways and bent grass greens. Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, combined with the rolling countryside and natural wooded areas, make for a challenging round of Melbourne golf for players of all abilities.

Weekly Skins Game

Get some….Skin in the game!

Thursday April 4 thru August 22, ends week of the 4-ball (20 weeks) 2pm start every Thursday (except July 4) Groups of 4, play with who you want.

$20/person/week – on the weeks you wanna play, just show up with $20-you’re in! Pay in pro shop before play begins. Turn in legible scorecard as soon as you’re finished!

$1/hole skins -skins determined by two tie-all tie, holes carryover until there is a winner. Any skins that carryover after 18 go to whoever won the first skin(wrap around). In the event no skins are out, all skin money goes to hole-in-one jackpot.

$2/week/player goes toward a hole in one progressive jackpot. (Carryover to 2020 or tbd if not won)

Season long Champion determined by total points. $1 won in skins = 1 point

A scoreboard will be placed on the deck so everyone can track the season-long weekly skins game results!

Player with most points at end of season wins!
1st MVEC gift certificate $300
2nd Cooper’s Hawk $200 toward golf club or apparel
3rd Cooper’s Hawk $100 toward golf club or apparel

Open to members & guests

Tees? Will be determined by a committee of your peers based on a combination of age& ability. A list will be posted declaring which tee you will play. There is a 10-page form to fill out and file for Formal protests, processing takes 8-12 weeks.

April 4-June 6 see tee list June 13-August 22 tee list adjusted Play will be Up a grip everywhere. 4-ball and individual matches on your own. Let’s make golf great again!

SSBHS Mudbug 3-Person Scramble

The Mudbug Golf Tournament is a three-person scramble format. Golfers will play 27 holes and will be provided with lunch and a crawfish boil for dinner. This is not your average one-day fundraiser tournament. We expect a full field of golfers. This golf tournament is to raise funds for the Southside Golf teams.

-Flight winners win a cash payout
-Lunch & dinner provided
-$75 per player

*3 person team format will require 1 golfer from each team to be paired on a cart with 1 golfer from the other team in your group

Saturday Shotgun Start @ 1:00 pm (Lunch at 11:00 am before the round)
Sunday Shotgun Start @ 9:00am (Lunch on the turn)
